CHK2, checkpoint homologue kinase (human CHK2, active)

Catalog #: PK127

Product Type: Protein Kinase

Size: 1 mg

$6,500.00

Qty:

In response to DNA damage and replication blocks, cells activate pathways that arrest the cell cycle and induce the transcription of genes that facilitate repair. In mammals, ATM (ataxia telangiectasia mutated) kinase together with other checkpoint kinases are important components in this response. Chk2 is the mammalian homolog of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae Rad53 and Schizosaccharomyces pombe Cds1 protein kinases required for the DNA damage and replication checkpoints. Defects in Chk2 contribute to the development of both hereditary and sporadic human cancers, and earmark this kinase as a candidate tumour suppressor and an attractive target for drug discovery.

Affinity-purified recombinant human checkpoint homologue kinase (CHK2) expressed in insect cells featuring an affinity tag. Highly active form of CHK2 suitable for labeling CHK substrates . Specific activity > 25.000 pmoles/min/mg. Molecular weight based on amino acid sequence 66 kDa.

Size: 5 µg

Ordering information: shipped on dry ice
